anyone know if they well find out that you have bad credit they well disqualified you ?
Its really smart not to ignore bad credit if you have it. It could cost you jobs, and thousands more due to higher interest rates. I really suggest using a place like Lexington Law. They have actual lawyers working for them and have been around the longest.

Bank Of America Forum - Bank of America, really confused and kind of lost someone help me out: Ok, so I don't want to sound needy or li...
Ok, so I don't want to sound needy or like a dope but I recently filled out a few applications for teller positions located on BoA's career website. I also applied for several positions as a personal banker. The latter I doubt I will get as most banks now-a-days like to promote within, so I figured my best bet would be starting off as a teller. Now I have the experience and cash handling skills necessary to satisfy the position, but my question is, how long does it take to find out if they are going to consider you? I'm currently on day 6 waiting for some type of email back whether I was considered or not for the older position I applied for. The same goes for TD Bank, but that's a different story. Now, for starters, I took the assessment test for the tellers, but I never got to see the message at the end stating whether I failed or didn't like most have said they did. My computer froze on the last question with the video and automated questions, and when I clicked restart and opened up the assessment again it said that I was finished. I never received an email stating whether I failed or not and from there on any time I apply for a teller position it does not say that I cannot or I have failed the assessment, it doesn't say anything! Someone help me out I'm like in a rutt trying to figure out if I'm wasting my time or not. Thanks! I'm from New Jersey btw, don't know if that makes a difference. I applied for positions both in NJ and NY.

Bank Of America Forum - Randstand & Bank of America -: Is there anything I can do in my situati...
Is there anything I can do in my situation:
I was schedule to start a position with bofa today, but on friday I received a call from my temp agency Randstand telling me the job order was just pulled b/c bofa claimed to have budget problems. Now even though I am new to temp agencies I also wasn't born yesterday, I believed bofa wouldn't have issued the job, wouldn't schedule an interview nor have paid for my finger prints and so on without checking their "budget" for the position. Keep in mind the job order was pulled a day after I became a register client with Randstand.
I've been told that this is a classic situation of bait and switch - where the agency waits to the last minute and then tries to push for more money on their end.
So now I have no job and all the agent can tell me is sorry!!!

Bank Of America Forum - Eligibility For Rehire Conspiracy?: [QUOTE who="Unbelievable in Lewisville, ...
Well I decided to comment on this topic because just last week I was advised that I was ineligible for rehire with BOA. It's funny because I've never worked for BOA. In 1996, yes I said 1996, I worked for Nations Bank and in 1997, BOA bought Nations Bank. I was 19 and was hired as a teller. Recently I applied for two positions within BOA and the recruiters called me within days of submitting my application. Two hours before I was to leave for my interview, one of the recruiters called and informed me that I was ineligible because I had worked for Nations Bank in 1996 and in my employee records, I had received a poor performance review. I truly don't remeber this, but it was 1996. I wasnt fired or forced to resign. I thought this was so far fetched because 1) I was 19 in '96. 2) I have successfully obtained 3 degrees. My Bachelor, masters and juris doctorate.. I spoke with advice and counsel and confirmed this information. I have since requested my employee file from BOA. I would really like to see the poor performance review that I signed. And even if I did, is there not any deference extended to situation like mine. I just thought this was unbelievable. I'm really hoping Incan prove that there's some sort of mistake. It's the principle for me now...
I am in the same boat as you. I was a teller back in 97, I left bank of America because I joined the military. Since then I received my bachelors in finance and hold several investment licenses. I got hire last month with Merrill Lynch and a week before my start date, they rescind the offer because for the same reason. My hiring manager and recruiter are working hard and supporting my but I have to submit an eligibility for rehire request and then they will review it. How did yours go?

Bank Of America Forum - Bank of America: Hello I recently applied to BoA (teller)...
Hello I recently applied to BoA (teller), I did the whole online and everything. I completed the phone interview and everything and that same day I was sent to the hiring manager at the branch that I did apply to. He said that my recruiter will be in contact, about a week after i got called from BoA in bosten to clear some questions about my previous employment. I then followed up a couple days later with the recruiter and she said "We are currently looking at the current teller positions available and if there is something that is a good match for you I will reach out to you" and it has now been a week since. Are they giving me the run around? Should just look for other employment?

I wondered what things will get you an unsatisfactory rating on a background check? I had some hot checks years ago that were dismissed, but it is a misdemeanor c. Is this grounds for not working at the bank?
Hi there - I understand your concern. A similair situation happened to one of my coworkers. Honestly, there is really nothing you can do. He could submit his case for another review and request a escalation. They would have to do so ONLY if he requests one. Other than that, it's a tough call. I wouldn't think shoplifting from 14 years ago would appear on a background check but BofA could be different.
Bofa does a LIFETIME background check.

Hello I had an interview with BOA in regards to an operation Representative position. Prior to the interview I went through the regular channel of applying, receiving an email to take a 10 key assessment, then phone interview, and lastly moved on to the face to face interview. I was told I would hear something by the beginning of the following week, 2/3, but I have yet to hear anything. So its going on almost a week. Does it usually take this long or am I being impatient?

JJJK75-I had my interview with the branch manager and personal banker 1/23. got called 2/6 by the branch manager for a follow up phone interview because they had narrowed it down to me and one other person. They said i should hear from my recruiter soon and its 2/15 and still nothing. is this normal for it to take over 3 weeks from in person interview to knowing whether i got the job or not? also my asi was satisfactory so i know i dont have to worry about that. Thanks!

Bank Of America Forum - How I got a job offer at Bank of America (Teller): [QUOTE who="Jenny Aybar in Davenport, Fl...
I was supposed to meet with two ladies that day, but upon entering the location and requesting the interviewer, I realized it was only going to be with her. Along the interview she did mention the other person was going to be off for the day. She was very nice, the first thing she said is that she won’t shake my hand because she is sick.
The interview was VERY basic, same as the ones on the phone, she never asked for any specific example or situation with a difficult customer , I was SUPER prepared for those and felt a little down when I realized that the interview was only like 15 minutes. After that I left and within the next 2 hours I received a call from Mr. G to ask me if I was still interested and offered me the job, upon background check and all that being verified.
Hopefully this helped someone out there, please let me know if you want to know anything else.
P.S: I am a senior college student of business , I have worked at family business in another country as a cashier , in a restaurant as a hostess and at a school as a paraeducator. I'm 22
I have a job offer from B of A, and have some questions that I nervous about.
Thank you so much, should you get this.

I have been offered a position for bofa . I now have to complete background check . I do have a misdemeanor disturbance of the peace which is lowest kind of misdameanor . I am nervous that I might be denied if they see this on my record . Then again on the application when first applied they only requested if you have a felony . Also I heard they only base your clearance based off the appliction it would be discrimination if they denied since they didn't aske if you have a misdameanor .

I applied for a teller job last thursday on February 28. Received a call and I missed it, I called back the number she left me in my voice mail same day and no answer. I called back again and left a voicemail... I have called back at around the same time the recruiter called ever day since friday and no one picks up. It just goes to voice mail. I have not received another call since then. Should I give up?

Bank Of America Forum - I wouldnt recommend working at BofA: Let me first start off by saying I was s...
Let me first start off by saying I was soooo excited to be hired by BofA but now I truly regret ever accepting the job! You go through a month of training were you just sit on a computer from 8-5 with only a half hr lunch, they tell you to take all the time you need to learn and understand but then give you a deadline as to when you should be finished. For myself learning on a computer is not adequate training, when you finally come out to the teller line the expect you to remember everything you just spent mind numbling clickig away at and it is not the same when translated in person! For my branch the TOS is a complete b**** instead of teaching and training you she waits for you to make a mistake and badgers you about that mistake forever! In the morning you have huddles were they put you on the spot about your commitements and customer engagement rates when you know nothing about it. If you dont mind being micromanged and I seriously mean that take the job but if you dont like someone breathing down your back listening to every conversation you have observing and taking notes on you constantly questioning your performance then stay far far away from BofA. You also need a cracked out super chipper attitude all day long never ever let them catch you not smiling. It is all about the customer not you in any way shape or form, little side story I cut my finger open on the money drawer and was bleeding seriously bleeding I had a customer at my window and asked my TOS if there were any band aids she left and came back empty handed and asked who needs one I told her myself. She waited until I was finished to say you need to wait until you are finished with your transaction to engage in another conversation. -___-

Can someone help me with my situation and questions I have?
I submitted my ASI last Thurs, immediately after speaking with my recruiter, I received e-mails for my I-9, fingerprinting, offer letter, etc. I scheduled my fingerprints for today, which I've completed. Then this evening, I received a Welcome/New Hire Package detailing the first few weeks. Now for my questions... Since I haven't heard from an investigator (in regards to my ASI) or my recruiter, is no news good news? I've read all the posts on here several times and more often then not the person was contacted to confirm info. I made sure to thoroughly complete my education and employment, so hopefully this is the reason they don't really need to contact me. I've also heard that the recruiter either calls or e-mails to say the ASI was satisfactory. I haven't gotten this either. I figured I would at least give me them until Thursday so it would be a complete week. But, I have a friend already at BoA in the same department and she thinks I'm fine. I REALLY need this job. Any info/input would be helpful and greatly appreciated!
